Pasta jar sauces can save the day

So this is a post as an ode to pasta sauces in a jar. I never thought I would love jarred sauces so much, but there is real value to a good pesto that is more than just good enough for crackers. It deserves pasta, cheese and fresh herbs.

Above is a great smoked tomato pesto with mushrooms and sundried tomatoes. The sauce was so intense in flavour that I had to add something fresh to soften the taste of the overall dish.
