Pesky plastic... that's the nickname , or rather one of them. Plastic is a part of our lives. As I type on this plastic keyboard ... there are some plastics which have become a part of our lives; and we can aspire only to remove those plastics which are not needed in our lives anymore.

Example in point: clingwrap. By far the most annoying item made from plastic, marketed beyond words and made to seem to be the answer to so many kitchen related issues. Not anymore. Instead of using that clingy wrap for your dishes for storage; you now have an alternative!

Introducing beeswax wraps! Made using beeswax, and cloth ; these cloth wraps are completely hygienic; reusable and pretty beyond words. I bought mine from Lulubee .

When I got home, I was eager to try them out and see how they worked. So I used the small one on a bowl that usually I cover with a sideplate. It went on and fitted great- I pressed the material against the side of the bowl and the heat from my hands heated the wax and it stuck to the bowl! The next day to remove the wrap was easy and then it folded up and was ready to use again.

I truly love these wraps and hope to see them become the new norm in homes across the country. For now, I think these will make amazing housewarming gifts and wedding presents!
