The month that plastic becomes the buzzword

Plastic Free July is here - YAY ! Everyone on the planet will probably hear about , whether they like it or not. It is an awareness campaign aimed to get people aware .. of the single use plastic items in their life and how to learn to live without them... it's a break up month.

Break up with your cool starbucks cup and straw; break up with buying the most expensive bottled water , break up with those plastic shopping bags.

But its also a new beginning for new habits and relationships. Get a cool shopper bag from Woolworths that supports conservation efforts for birds, penguins, whales, and Madiba :) Grab a glass water bottle to prove you are drinking water ( vodka is also clear btw). Get the coolest stainless steel straw and bring your own- have a conversation about straws when you order drinks at takeaways and restaurants. Be the person that changes someone else's mind about plastic straws. And coolest of all, get a bamboo coffee cup already! Ecoffee cups are the most brilliant useful cups as well as KeepCups; they look better, feel better , work better and are better than the single use disposable ones!
