In December 2018 we drove to Clarens to spend NY in the mountains. One of the most popular spots to eat was by far is Clementines which is a stunning stand-alone spot with the loveliest staff and menu. The starter below changed how I see beetroot, as it was perhaps poached and not roasted. So like a carpaccio veggie version with praline walnuts and creamy feta. Great combination

Roasted beetroot with walnuts and feta from Clementines

The other dish which has no pic was the cheesecake! Just a side note, we took it as a takeaway as the mains were so good! The other veg starter was a baked brie with figs , totally yummy and gourmet!

The other spot which is always busy , is Mosaic pizza.

Below is the salad we ordered and the pizza- Really lovely food but in the high tourist time, the food may take a while... and the staff are really pushed to their limit

I love the town on Clarens and its food options have grown since the last time I have been there. The bakeries are my favourite except that everything does get sold out early!
